The University of Manchester Islamic Society committee would like welcome you to one of the largest and most active societies on campus.
For most, the years at university serve as a transitional time, where students develop academically, socially and spiritually, to name but a few. Here at the ISoc, we aim to facilitate this development and produce experienced, skilled, upstanding members of society who are an asset to those around them, while also having their sights set firmly on the ultimate goal.
With the ISoc, you can expect unique opportunities, such as the ability to help those in dire situations, both locally and internationally, through having fun events with amazing people on campus. We aim to be a society run by students, for students, and this is reflected in our wide variety of events catering to everyone, irrespective of your interests.
UoM ISoc prides itself on being an inclusive society, open to all, muslims and non-muslims alike. So regardless of who you are and what your story is, we hope that you will find a home in the ISoc.
MMU Islamic Society
We are vibrant, diverse and the largest student-run organisation that aims to serve primarily all Muslim and non-Muslim students and staff at Manchester Metropolitan University.
The society primarily aims to serve to the spiritual and academic needs of the Muslim students on campus and to promote the religion of Islam to non-Muslims. We are dedicated to catering the needs of the Muslim students in many ways including providing a clean and functional prayer facility and hosting educational, social and charitable events for students to attend. We also aim to be the representative voice for the Muslim students on campus.
We invite everyone to join and aim to unify all Muslims regardless of their age, gender, ability, race, nationality or sect. We welcome you all, whether you are a Muslim, interested in Islam or simply finding a friendly face. You are more than welcome to join us and be part of something wonderful
